The book "Finance and Wealth Creation in Africa: Myth or Reality?" offers an in-depth and rigorous reflection on the role of finance in the development of the African continent. In this work, we examine the foundations, mechanisms, and limitations of the financial sector's contribution to economic growth in Africa, putting existing theoretical debates into perspective with the empirical realities specific to African economies. It explores the complex interactions between financial systems, economic policies, and wealth creation dynamics, highlighting the structural, institutional, and social constraints that can affect the effectiveness of finance as a development lever. The aim is to enrich the reflections of researchers, policymakers, students, and development practitioners by proposing analytical insights and policy directions for a more effective mobilization of finance in support of inclusive and sustainable growth in Africa.
